Cristina Vane’s Intermediate/Advanced guitar class will cover slide techniques through the study of carefully chosen songs sung by your favorite blues legends. From basic travis-picking and thumb picking to Son House's infamous "paddle" right hand technique, we'll be hitting on a lot of the special techniques that make this music so powerful.   Focusing on one player, we will dissect that artists unique style through the framework of one quintessential song.

The course will start with the fundamentals of open tunings, fingerstyle and slide playing, and go on to cover Blind Willie Johnson, R.L Burnside, Skip James, and Robert Johnson to name a few. If country and delta blues is your bag, this class is for you!
