In this class, Rachel breaks down techniques Hartford favored and uses demonstrations from his tunes to show what makes his fiddle style unique. Expect clear explanations, hands-on demos, and exercises that help you understand his phrasing, rhythm, and tone, while giving you tools to bring elements of his style into your own playing.

In this course, Jordan will be teaching the basics of fingerstyle guitar starting with fingerpicking patterns then moving into alternating bass and playing melodies and bass lines simultaneously.

This four-part class is an immersive study and analysis of traditional country song and songwriters, and will teach the basics of songcraft including: theme, traditional country melody, lyricism, structure, and scheme. 

In this new Intermediate to Advanced online fiddle series, Brittany will teach you to play a handful of tunes that we particularly loved to linger on last winter at our Dee’s Old-Time Jam,  and some other new old favorites.

This class will deal with the nuts & bolts of playing an instrumental lead in a country song. We'll learn how to break apart the vocal melody to its basic building blocks, and then interpret them in a tasteful and interesting manner.

Through group exercises, information on anatomy and vocal health, and mini lesson demos in front of the class (on a volunteer basis), students will make new sounds and unlock pathways in their voice they never thought possible before. This class will be non-sequential, with a little of everything in each class, to work for folks who may have to miss a class due to touring.

This workshop is all about discovering the undiscovered! Shortly after his death, folk, old time, and country music legend John Hartford's family unearthed thousands of his unheard original fiddle tunes and set about making them available to anyone and everyone to learn and listen and enjoy.

In this Beginner Old-Time Banjo class, JP will teach the basics of clawhammer-style old time banjo. Primarily self taught in all aspects of his music career, the course will be structured to accommodate the untrained, aspiring musician through layperson's fundamentals.

This course will take us through the most commonly used keys in old time fiddle.

Get deep into the roots of Southern Appalachian old-time fiddling in this welcoming beginner class. Students will explore the basics of old-time fiddle through traditional Tennessee and Round Peak tunes that are commonly played in community jam sessions.

This class is intended for fiddlers who already have a good sense of how to follow a simple melody and have a basic knowledge of old-time music in general.

The course will start with the fundamentals of open tunings, fingerstyle and slide playing, and go on to cover Blind Willie Johnson, R.L Burnside, Skip James, and Robert Johnson to name a few. If country and delta blues is your bag, this class is for you!

We’ve been lucky enough to snag  Miss Tess  guitar class, during which we'll dive straight into Western Swing through the lens of the one-and-only Bob Wills.

By the end of this 6-week session you’ll have a handful of new songs in your repertoire, understand what “Nashville Numbers” are and how to use them, and feel comfortable playing in a country jam just about anywhere.
